Blessed by who the Lord puts into my life. This is a long post, but I had so many favorites. I just love this girl. She is stunning on the outside and yet she is just as beautiful in the inside. Joining in on the fun was her incredible boyfriend Steven and equally stunning sister Kyra. One of the most adventurous shoots I have ever shot.
This girl is brave. Let's just leave it at there was scary guard dogs, high winds, the
horrific smells of chicken waste...(gagging just thinking of it!) But all in all, you would never know by the way she photographed.

I'm back! I know I am a blog slacker. I confess ever since Facebook it is now where I post everything. But it looks so much better on my blog.

I have to say that I love all the seniors that the Lord puts in my life. They all are so talented and in one way or another they have so much to give to life. These three below are such a blessing to each of their families. These were taken a few months back and I still remember how amazingly talented they all were. Thinking back, I am thankful that I was able to get a chance to know each of them in a small way. Their moms were all amazing women, and I enjoyed my time with them over dinner as well. All I can say is, I love my job. (Now I just need the blogging fairy to help me with my blog. Okay and an editing, cleaning, bill paying, car repairing...etc. fairy) Know where I can find one? :D

As a senior, you are faced with so many decisions. I have been blessed the last few months with so many awesome seniors. I don't remember having so many decisions to make as they do now in these times. All of my seniors have had one thing going for them, they all trust in the Lord.
Here is Stefanie, she also is beautiful inside and out. She is headed to Europe next week and is just glowing with joy. I have gotten to know her and her family the last couple of years, and they are a blessing to us. May the Lord bless you Stefanie in all that you accomplish.

I really loved this photo shoot. This is Scott, he was visiting from South Dakota and decided to get his Senior pics done out in California. What a great guy, we had so much fun as we hit the streets of Riverside. Every time he smiled I think my heart melted. He had such a great spirit about him and just loves the Lord. After I started posting these realized almost all of the pictures are black and white. I guess it just fit him.

Roadtrip!!!!

We had an unexpected chance to go on a roadtrip to Oregon. My Step Parents live in Grants Pass, so we packed our bags and headed North. With an overnight stop in Marysville to visit my mom we are having a great and eventful trip. My Step Dad has been suffering with cancer and he is having a difficult time so we are looking forward to seeing him.

The Places We Go...

Most of you know I love to explore new places. I love this place up in Gavalen Hills. (I hope that is the correct spelling) Anyway, my friend Marie and her family and I stumbled on it a few weeks ago on their shoot and I couldn't wait to go back. It was so beautiful there and it has these big broken concrete walls that were all smashed up. It is kinda hidden off the road. The date on the concrete was 1943. Not sure what it used to be, but it is a gem of a place.
The Casillas family were troopers. They are long time friends of mine, and were not sure what to expect. Well, as beautiful as nature is, this shoot also came with SPIDERS! Hundreds of them! Poor Allison, I made her sit on a bed of them for that beautiful close up of her. When she popped up, I first noticed the little beasts running from underneath her. She rocked, she didn't even flinch. Most people would have freaked. After that I took a good look at the floor, and hundreds of them were everywhere. I felt like that Harry Potter movie with the spider scene. Except, I had no wand to scare them away.
Needless to say the rest of the night, I had the heebie jeebies!

I have been MIA for awhile now and I am sorry. Summer was filled with so much fun and it really kept us busy. I have so many photos to share from a ton of shoots. I never seemed to have a day to relax. A ton of shoots equaled a ton of editing. :) I can't complain, because we had a blessed summer. We had a really hard couple of weeks adjusting to the school schedule.

This beautiful young lady is Summer. We had a great day together as we all went to catch the new American Girl movie. (I know, that was out months ago.) I just liked her carefree look on her face in some of these. I hope to post more soon, I just didn't seem to have much time for the computer this month. The outside is so much more fun. We love Summer!

I love these two girls! They are polar opposites. Big sis Tay is running for Junior Miss America and will, I'm sure, melt everyones heart that she comes across with her love for the Lord and for people in general. Then there is Lil' sis Hannah...wellllll... She will have you peeing in your pants with laughter or maybe knock you out of your pants. She is a riot and and they both are blessed with two parents that love and adore them.

We took a ton of pictures that day, you should have seen the closet of clothes in the back of mom's car. These are a couple of my favs. Is she intense or what?

Last night I was blessed to get to hang out with the Hooper family down at the beach. I worked with Lore at Harvest a couple of years ago. Her and her husband Marty are amazing Bible teachers. I have heard Marty lead devotions a couple of times at surf fellowship. They are a great couple with a big family to love. Issac is the first of many grandchildren I am sure to come.

I love watching Lore light up when she talks about Issac.

That is one smokin' hot Tater-Tot! HAHA! This is Tatum,(aka Tater-Tot) she is super duper talented, and just as beautiful on the inside as out. As posted on the last post, I love her and her family. We had such a blast yesterday! We headed down to one of my favs Venice Beach. She is a multi talented young lady, so we had a lot of fun shots to work with.
I am not kidding you when I say this is a small handful of the pictures that we took. She just rocked the camera. She can be found on a lot of the big Nick and Disney Channel shows and the up and coming Hannah Montana movie. (My daughter is sooooo jealous!) She needed some current head shots and we were productive!

Just trying to play catch up on blogging. I am finally moved in, but still surrounded by boxes and no internet in site. Not having internet has its pros and cons. But you need to be home to meet with the installer and I can't seem to find a 4 hour window to commit to. My dog Chelsea is starting to feel like an orphan. I may be better of just getting a motor home. HA! :)
A couple of weeks ago I was blessed to be invited to Dan's 50th birthday bash. Many of you that read my blog are familiar with the Singer family. They are truly a blessing to our family. They are all so gifted in one way or another. Aaron and Jordan lead us all in a little worship and it was followed by a touching devotion for Dan. Pictured below are the Singers with the Pollard family (another family that I truly love.) They were so kind to host the party.
It was such a blessed night with good people and good times.

Tonight I am heading out to catch the wonderful production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.
I was blessed to get a chance to photograph the play last week. This is the last weekend to catch it, so don't miss out. It can be enjoyed at the Landis Performing Art Theater.
Our new friend Chanlon co-stars as Jimmy Smith and Jamie Hartmann is the perfect Miss Millie. This was such an adorable and well choreographed play. When I first created my blog, I used to have Shane sightings on a regular basis. But since he lives so far away my sightings are fewer these days. But, we had a family graduation party for Janel, so we gathered in Pasadena, driving from various corners of the Earth to celebrate. Shane is one of the funniest kids I know. Filled with energy and the same appreciation for Star Wars Legos as me, we always have a good time.

Goin' to The Getty

I was so excited to hear that Makenna wanted her senior pictures taken at the Getty. She is an amazing artist. She comes from an extremely talented and hardworking family, so I am not surprised. These are the kids from Olive Branch Christian Theater. This family does not know how to take a break. I think they would not know what to do with themselves. Well, this was as close as it was going to get for them to get to take a break. HAHA, 3-4 hrs of taking pictures at the Getty in LA. They were chomping at the bit to get back home to get started on the new show Suessical. All of their hard work always pays off. They have a group of over 50 kids that can't wait to start the new show, and beg to be together when ever they can.
I love the picture below, they all look like ghosts.

Last night I was sooooo excited to run into a very special friend of mine Olivia. We used to hang out all the time when I worked at Harvest. She will always have a huge place in my heart.

Meet the newly married Anna and James Starr. Anna and I go wayyyyyy back. We met in high school with her in love with Triumph, and I was in love with Journey and U2. We had some crazy times together. Things are crazy at the Malone house as always. Yes, I know I need to post WPPI part deux ;) and a wedding, Ryan had a birthday, we had a Disneyland trip.....shall I keep going. Well, the day finally arrived, between sick children, rain, and crazy schedules my photo shoot with the Pennington family on Mt. Rubidoux was this past weekend. I had such an amazing time with them and can't wait to schedule the next one on the mountain. Beware, I went crazy on this post, I could not choose my favorites. Their youngest son had the most CONTAGIOUS JOY!
He never stopped smiling and it just rubs off on you. But, why wouldn't he, he is blessed with an amazing and loving family. His big brother was a cutie as well, with a love for his family that glowed. I had been in training for this shoot and managed to make it up the mountain with out a trip to the ER. ;)
BTW hope to see some familiar faces this weekend! We will be there Sunday and Monday for a marathon trip. Can't wait!~ TTFN

One Groovy Girl

I have a lot of blogging to catch up on. OBCT had a mini fashion show, to show off the new costumes the kids are wearing for Godspell. This is Valerie, a very talented performer who is just a sweetheart, and an amazing singer. We had a two minute photo shoot out in the parking lot at the church after the show. That Girl- Part 2

What a week, along with everyone else we know, we were slammed this week with the flu.
I didn't feel it that bad (my drug of choice is Airborne :D ), but Maddie is on day 5 of high fevers. So that means no sleep for the whole family, all week. With a throat infection, upset stomachs, and lots of tears, we are wiped out. I hope to catch up on some sleep tonight.
I did want to share a few pictures from todays shoot. Super models have to brave a lot when they want to look good. Bianca was a trooper today. It was chilly in the IE today. She is a huge Hannah Montana fan and that kept her going as she quoted lines and sang songs from the show as we walked around the downtown. I am looking forward to see what the Lord has planned for this talented little girl.

The New That Girl

This is little Bianca, she reminds me of a mini Marlo Thomas from That Girl. (I know some of you remember the show...came out in the 60's.) Well we met Bianca and her family while working on Joseph this past summer. My kids fell in LOVE with her. That's all they would talk about all summer is Little Bianca shes soooooo cute. (Yep, they are right.) We met up for head shots and were rained out. But, I was able to catch this one picture of her while her parents and I were going over the game plan.

I haven't posted my dog Cujo...I mean Chelsea, in awhile. Other than being obsessed with the skunks, (BTW she was sprayed again, but not nearly as bad as the first time.)she is a good dog. She is a wonderful watch dog and always a little on the tense side, but very loyal. I am also adding a picture of an Iguana from the local museum...just because he is so cute. :)

Meet Stephanie and Aurora, two young ladies with a little spice...hmm, okay a lot. They both are chomping at the bit to be on the the show America's Top Models. We had a great time touring the downtown and at the end having a giant bubble bath in the city hall fountain. They kept it very entertaining for everyone.

Spotlight on Rhonda Thomale

Today,Maddie and I were able to hang out with my good friend Rhonda Thomale. She is being featured in a couple of magazines so she asked if she could get some photos of her work. She is a talented Muralist. Maddie and I sat and were mesmerized like two zombies as we watched her work. It was so relaxing, I forgot what I was there for. She has done some amazing murals for several people and offices in the area including CHOC Hospital, Harvest Christian Fellowship/School. She is beautiful inside and out and is blessed with such an amazing family. Over the last few years of knowing Rhonda, I have watched her grow, ( we started our businesses about the same time. ) She is such a blessing to me and an inspiration. I will share the photos of her work when the magazine comes out. I can't wait!

Smokin' at The Plaza

Well, more like freezin' at The Plaza...but the band was smokin'! Last night I was invited to come photograph the Empire Swing Orchestra again. They rocked our socks off last night.
They are a non-profit organization formed by a group of volunteer musicians, most of them have played together for about 10 years. Entertaining people all over Southern California, they play songs from the 20's-50's. They are always looking for anyone that likes to jam!

This is Spenser, he and Mark Vargas head up the band. Spenser and his girlfriend Katrina just got engaged this week. He proposed to her in a hot air balloon. (How exciting!) I am looking forward to engagement photos with them soon!

This weekend my client Christal wants to have her family photos taken at Mt. Roubidoux. I just laughed. Thinking in the back my head...will I have my heart attack before or after I get to the top. LOL. So she has inspired me to train before the big day. So today was day 1, and I made it. Whoo Hoo! We walked up with our friends the Perrys. It was the first time for them to go up the mountain, now...they own that mountain. They were all over it! We all had a ball, and plan for day 2 tomorrow.

These guys are our future heros. When I spotted them climbing on the rock with the flag in the background it just made me smile. These boys have such a huge love for our country and plan on protecting us as soon as they are old enough. Braham is the oldest, and he was in my class when I was a teachers assistant. He used to tell me stories of all the things he was going to do once he was in the military . He will make us all proud I am sure and will always hold a big part of my heart.

Who doesn't love the Peanuts Gang? Tonight we were back to the grind as we started up another production at Olive Branch Christian Theater. It will be a little different this time, with twice the fun. We will kick off each show with Godspell the review (with everybody's favorite songs from the famous play,) and then wrap it up with
Your a Good Man Charlie Brown.
Also, every Friday night after rehearsal they have ballroom dancing and an art class. It is a full day! But, all the kids involved can't get enough and count the seconds til' they meet again.

This week Maddie and I were treated to a day at the American Girl Store out in LA. We had a wonderful day hanging out with our friends. We headed to one of our favorites, Maggianos for an awesome lunch. (I pray we get one out in the IE!) We then headed to the American Girl Review and the museum. The play was adorable and the girls had fun walking around the store. It is always so fun to walk around the Farmers Market. I love all the little shops.

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to hang out with the Ruiz Family. All 23 of them! Vanessa works in the children's ministry office at Harvest. They had me rolling, one of the best times ever! Never a Dull Moment at the Malones!

I am not sure who named the famous skunk Flower from Bambi, because skunks are anything but sweet smelling! I am taking a quick break from cleaning and giving the dog her third bath, after an eventful night. Our poor dog Chelsea was defending her little family from possibly a family of skunks living under our house. All night she kept us up alerting us that something was outside. After several hours of this, even I started hearing tons of noise from outside. I went to get the flash light when Chelsea tore out of the house, and with in seconds heard a brawl going on. Chelsea came screaming around the corner foaming from the mouth and eyes blinded. I thought maybe a coyote had attacked her, she was delirious. After running back into the house and rubbing herself all over our furniture and clothes before we could evaluate what had just happened...it hit us! Slapped us all in the face...the SMELL! I am pretty sure there was more than one, she did not look good, she looked like she was dying. Maddie and I where gagging and tears were flying, eyes burning from the smell.
I think the dog will be fine, but I now also smell. Everywhere I went this morning to gather all the remedies to remove the smell from the house and the dog, people were commenting on the lovely smell that was coming from me. HA! It was so strong, I had no idea. I wish I had taken a picture of her covered in tomato juice. She was a site. Again, never a dull moment around this house!

Daddy's Little Girl...and Mommy's Too!

We spent the day last Saturday with the Acosta family. Another fun day shooting around downtown, with a little chill and wind in the air to keep us all awake and on our toes. We all did freeze a little, well, California style. (Sorry to all you across the U.S. where it is REALLY cold.) :)
Anyways, it is always fun when we get to hang out with the Acostas. Maddie and Bri went to the same school a couple of years ago, and still always have fun together when they get to see each other. The icing on the cake is that I love her mother just as much. We have had many mother/daughter outings together. Then you throw dad in the mix and it just gets out of control. HAHA J/K Alex! (He is a Star Wars nerd just like me!)

Shock Fest

I know the biggest shocker is that I am blogging again, but last night we were invited to hang out with Mariann and her family as her son performed his first gig as a drummer in the new band Claimed Heart. Followed by her daughter singing lead vocals in Aspects of Life.. They did an amazing job ALL of them. Such a wonderful night of fun, fellowship, and worship. Hosted by Riverside Community Church we all had a blessed night.
It was a nice to enjoy some much needed time with Ry and Maddie the last couple of weeks. After a couple of very busy months, I took a couple weeks to heal from a fractured ankle and more computer problems. I promise to work on catching up on the blog. ( Thanks for all the blog luv and some concerned friends emailing me to check on me.) I am so thankful for the people the Lord puts in my life and all that He provides. Any ways, here are some of my favorites from the night.

This is Amanda,as she sings lead vocals in Aspects, I just love these photos that show the joy in her heart. She is an amazing singer and performer, and the rest of the band just rocked the house. I can't wait for the next gig to hear them again.

Just coming up for some air. Wow! What a month, I have been shooting everyday just about, getting the last minute family Christmas cards out. I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, but it will have to wait. I did want to check in and say hi and MERRY CHRISTMAS! I can't leave without posting one picture. This is one of Maddie's dearest friends from 2nd grade. She just looked so pretty on her swing. Now, 2 yrs later and she towers of me. It's just not fair!

Winter Ball

Whew! Had a very quick minute, as I wait for my laundry to dry, to share a little.
Tonight the kids had a winter ball. They have been taking dance classes over the last 10 weeks. It was such an amazing night. We had a wonderful time. I walked away with almost 500 pictures of some great kids just having fun. Here is one of the many of my two favorite kids. Goodnight, the alarm is set for 5 am for the Elizabeth George Tea with over 1,500 women.

The Jarrett train that is. This morning Sarah called me and asked if we could do some non-traditional pics today, something different, and she wanted to include train tracks. (YES!) I love different! We headed to the train tracks underneath the 15 freeway, what a great little treasure. We all had fun, and it showed! As we left, we all were covered in black train grease.
I also walked away with some cool new texture overlays to give the pictures a great vintage look. :)

Tonights the Night!

Tonight is the official kick off of a whirlwind tour of the Inland Empire. We started off at Tom's Farms in Corona. It was the tree lighting ceremony tonight. So the entire cast of the Olive Branch Christian Theater dressed as Dickens Carolers and sang their hearts out. We braved the cold and had a great time. Tomorrow they will be singing at a senior center, followed by weeks of traveling around town including the Mission Inn. Tom's Farms was decorated so pretty, I loved all the lights.

I am a little late, on this post. But this weekend, we remembered our veterans. Please continue to pray for all the soldiers and their families that are serving. So many of us know at least one person serving in the military. This is Tony and Martha, Tony told me tonight he will be shipping off at the beginning of the year, just about the time his first baby will be born. His story is like so many others, and my heart goes out to all the people who have to go through this and other similar circumstances.

Couple of weeks ago, I was able to hang out with the Schalliols. They were one of the first families that let me take photos of them for Christmas when I was first starting out. Their family has been such a blessing to ours. We really have had some fun adventures. This time we headed to the downtown area of Riverside. Here is a few of my favs.

I have to confess, one of my favorite things in the whole world is Star Wars Legos. Forever, I have had my little crippled Obi Wan hanging from my key chain. But, at the end of our session, Zack surprised me with a new Lego key chain. I now am sporting a new Chewbaca Lego on my keys. I just thought that was the sweetest thing. He has been saving it for months for me, when he noticed how sad Obi Wan looked. My little Obi will go to the Lego graveyard. RIP!

Yesterday, we celebrated the marriage of Mike and Aldys. (I think we all can say FINALLY!) This couple has been waiting a long time. My buddy Nicole assisted, and there is never a dull moment when she is around.
What an amazing wedding. I have so many pictures to share. Last night, I was creating a slide show of all the images, started playing with hotmail codes, ended up wiping out my website.

Tonight, I had a wonderful night hanging out with Mike and Aldys. We have been waiting along time for this weekend. Aldys' son and my daughter were in school together, so it will be a fun day, with the chance to see some long lost friends.The last few wedding rehearsals that I have attended all seem to have something in common.
Little critters always seem to be spotted hanging out. Tonight, we were joined by this cute little frog. He was tiny, about 1 inch long.

All You Need is Love!

Tonight, Maddie, Ryan and I had celebrated family night. The three of us cooked a yummy dinner together. They are enrolled in a cooking class, and they are really becoming great cooks. Then we carved pumpkins and baked pumpkin seeds. As we were cleaning up for the night, we turned off the lights and noticed Maddie's pumpkin. It was so pretty how the light was shining on the wall. We truly had a blessed night!

Happy Spot

Today, I got to visit my Happy Spot, the beach. As most of you know I MISS THE BEACH! I was able to hang out with the Perry family. We headed out to Corona Del Mar. There was such a strange feeling in the air. With the heaviness in the air from the fires, the red glow from the sun and the moon, the low tide and the ocean was completely calm. It was very peaceful yet with sadness for all the people impacted by the fires you couldn't help to reflect on the week. With so many friends evacuated, and one family we know that lost it all, we continue to pray for everyone.
On a different note, Rae Perry is always great to hang out with. She is a pistol, and a very gifted lady. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves, so the kids were having a ball. Afterwards, they treated Maddie and I to fajitas at Acapulcos. YUMMMMMY! It was a nice break from a very busy week. I plan to catch up on some blog posts from all the shoots from last week. TTFN!
